As part of the Global Campaign against Covid-19, photography group advisor Maria-Carolina, of 3B at Pascal Private English School Lefkosia, is sending an open letter to all over the world looking for companions in the common struggle to defeat covid-19. Here is what she wrote:

Coronavirus! Probably the most talked about word in over a year! What is it that has shaken our lives so much in such a small word?

My name is Maria-Karolina and as a counselor of the photography group of our school PESGSPC, the pandemic that plagues our world, left me no room for complacency! Our mentor, professor Andreas Andreou motivated us to create a shield of protection and a ray of hope and fight together in crushing the pandemic!

With great excitement we created the song of the winners composed by Andreas Andreou and performed by Constantinos Timinis. The song touched  people’s heart and became the first to be screened by FIAP, the World Federation of Photographic Art which has 1.5 million members in 105 countries around the world.

There is no better time than spring, when the earth is reborn and the creation rejoices, to can walk together and proudly sing the song of the winners on the podium of victory. Man is born to live and enjoy life and that is what we are doing together! We are winners!

Yours sincerely

Maria-Karolina Theofanous 3B
