First church service at north monastery in 22 months

The first service in 22 months took place on Sunday at the Apostolos Varnavas monastery in Famagusta in the north.

The Church said in a statement that after 22 months, due to restrictive Covid measures, the first Divine Liturgy of 2021 had taken place

The service was officiated by Elder Petros Papaioannou. Orthodox churchgoers to attended the service crossed to the north by bus.
