European meeting on kidney studies to be held in Limassol

State health services organisation Okypy is hosting the 34th European Renal Cell Study group in Limassol later this week with prominent scientists expected to share information on the latest developments in the field.

Speaking on Tuesday, Okypy executive director of Limassol-Paphos Christos Nicolaou said the meeting – to be held from April 7 to 11 – was an important opportunity for medical professionals to exchange experience and practice.

The conference will be held under the auspices of the health ministry and the association of friends of kidney sufferers (Limassol branch).

Director of the nephrology clinic at Limassol general hospital Dr Aristos Michail said the announcements of new research findings that will be applied in clinical practice.

Limassol hospital nephrologist and president of the organising committee Dr Eleni Frangou said the conference offers the opportunity to meet important scientists and researchers from all over the world and for an exchange on the latest research results.

Results to be announced include on research into artificial intelligence. The conference is addressed to all health professionals, general and specialist doctors, biologists and other scientists, as well as medical students.
