Two men, aged 26, were arrested on Friday for knife possession and driving under the influence of drugs in Paphos.

The arrest came as traffic officers who were carrying out checks on Akamantidos Avenue in Paphos stopped the men’s car for a check around 1.30am.

Police said they found a pocket knife during a body search on the passenger, while another was found in the car which the driver claimed was his.

Then, a narcotest was carried out on the driver of the car which came back positive.
