More live music evenings are coming to Technopolis 20 in June, starting with the Yogev Shetrit Jazz Trio on June 10, with two of the members travelling straight from Israel to perform for the first time in the venue’s garden.

From 8pm onwards audiences can enjoy instrumental pieces, music from the albums New Path and Serenity composed, arranged and produced by the Israelian drummer and percussionist Yogev Shetrit, along with a selection of popular songs and jazz standards.

Yogev elegantly fuses traditional North African music, Gnawa, and Andalusian music from his Moroccan heritage, along with contemporary jazz, Mediterranean and world music. On stage, he will be joined by Israeli David Sheetrit on keyboard and Cypriot Alexandros Panagiotou on bass.

Towards the end of the month, another trio will take the floor at Technopolis 20’s garden for an evening of amalgamated ethnic jazz. June will end at the Paphos venue with a jazz concert not to be missed on the 29th of the month. The title of the concert, Ethnic Meets Jazz, also describes the simplicity of the meeting of jazz music and the improvisation with traditional elements and the improvisation of Middle East Music.

The well-known jazz trio of Irineos Koullouras with some of the most experienced jazz musicians on the island, George Krasides and George Koulas will be joined by the world-famous Israeli jazz guitarist and oudist Amos Hoffman, known worldwide as a pioneer in fusing the rhythms and melodic themes of the Middle East with Modern Jazz. So, just before a new month rolls in, four musicians prepare a musical experience that fuses cultures and music genres.
