An off-duty police officer helped save the life of a 48-year-old woman who suffered a cardiac arrest at a wedding reception.

According to a statement by the Cyprus Police Officers Association, the officer in question was Pandelis Christodoulou, who happens to hold a First Aid certificate and is also a First Aid examiner.

The association congratulated Christodoulou and stressed that “such acts are commendable, are an example to follow and honour both the police and our society”.
