Teenager held for thefts in Paphos

An 18-year-old was remanded in custody for five-days in connection with burglaries and thefts, including that of a moped, in Paphos, police said on Monday.

Five burglaries were committed in total – at two offices, two stores and a barber shop, in Paphos.

The first office burglary was committed on July 1, while the remaining burglaries were committed on July 14 and 15.

From the first office and the two shops small sums of money were stolen, while from the second office and from the barber shop, nothing had been stolen.

The theft of the moped 49, worth €500, was committed on June 25, while the vehicle was parked outside the owner’s residence.
