Police on Monday said a 44-year-old hunter was fined €3,000 after he was caught hunting in a restricted area over the weekend.
Game service officers found the man hunting in a prohibited area in Sapouneri, Simou, in Paphos around 7am on Sunday, said Paphos CID chief and spokesman Michalis Nicolaou.
The man had a hunting shotgun with cartridges and 11 bird traps in his possession, which were confiscated.
