Recitals coming up in Nicosia and Limassol

Just as September prepares to bid us farewell, two recitals by local musicians will entertain music lovers in Nicosia and Limassol. Arriving first is a soprano recital at Pallas Theatre on Saturday.

Two emerging young artists will take the stage, soprano Mariza Anastasiades and pianist Plotinos Micromatis. In a recital organised by Kyrenia Opera, the musicians will perform works by Ruperto Chapí, Claude Debussy, Jules Massenet, Theodore Spathis and Kurt Weill.

A few days later another musical concert will be held in Limassol. The Elias Beach Hotel collaborates with virtuoso pianist Tatiana Stupak to host a charity concert on Thursday, September 29. Tatiana, who will be playing on a limited edition Kayserburg crystal piano, will be accompanied by violinist Olivera Rialas, coloratura soprano Elena Soskova and soprano Ksenia Belolipetskaya, to carry audiences through a repertoire titled ‘Waves of Music’ on the beachfront of the hotel. A cocktail reception will precede the event, from 7pm to 7.30pm. All of the net proceeds of the event will be donated to the Mikroi Iroes charity.
