Gamblers busted in Paphos

Police on Tuesday night in a coordinated operation in Paphos, cracked down on ten people found gambling.

According to police spokesperson, Michalis Nikolaou, between the hours of 5.30 and 6.30pm the Paphos crime prevention unit raided a coffee shop, where ten people were gambling in two parties, with dice and playing cards.

Police seized 104 playing cards from each table, as well as 61 chips, and €515 in cash.

All involved were charged in writing to be summoned to court at a later date.
