Vehicles fires in Geroskipou arson, say police (Update)

Police on Tuesday determined that the fire which broke out in several vehicles in ​​Geroskipou completely destroying two of them and extensively damaging the third, was an act of arson.

Police are now searching for the perpetrators.

The two vehicles that were destroyed belong to a permanent resident, aged 49, who owns a repair shop at the site, while the third vehicle allegedly belongs to a person who is currently abroad, and was under the care of an adjacent garage.

According to the police, at around information was received around 1.45am about the fire which broke out in the three cars in the Geroskipou industrial area.

The fire was extinguished by the fire service and scene was cordoned off while police gathered evidence.
