Decomposing body found in Larnaca home

The body of a 69-year-old man was found in a state of advanced decomposition on Friday evening in his house in Larnaca.

Police said they received a call from the man’s neighbours who were worried because they hadn’t seen him for about a week.

A state pathologist who examined the body of the 69-year-old, found in his bedroom, ruled out the possibility of crime.

The man’s body was transferred to the Larnaca General Hospital, where a post mortem is to be carried out on Saturday.

The house where the body was found was disinfected by health services, police said.
