House hit by lightning in Dherynia

A house in Dherynia went up in flames on Thursday night after it was hit by lighting.

The fire damaged the wooden roof and part of the attic that had contained a G3 military rifle, and ammunition belonging to a national guardsman. Two fire trucks went on the scene to put out the fire.

Meanwhile at 3am on Friday, a car parked at a flat in Ayios Ioannis in Limassol set on fire in what police are investigating as an arson attack.
