Sofas set on fire at Kaimakli school

Four fire trucks were deployed to the Kaimakli primary school A and B in Nicosia after sofas kids had placed in the yard to watch their Easter bonfire went up in flames, the fire service said on Saturday.

The Kaimakli fire station was informed late Friday afternoon that there was a fire at the school. The blaze from the sofas was spreading to a nearby storeroom but firemen managed to put it out before it did any serious damage.

The fire services said it he sofas has been set on fire deliberately. The move was probably made by a rival ‘bonfire group’.
