Education minister to pay an official visit to Russia

Education minister Costas Kadis will be accompanied by Rectors and representatives of Cypriot universities

Minister of Education and Culture, Costas Kadis, departs today for an official visit to Russia.

According to an official press release, on Friday Kadis and Vasilyeva Olga, Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, will sign an “Agreement on mutual recognition of education, qualifications and academic degrees” between the two countries.

The Agreement aims to further develop relations between Cyprus and Russia in the fields of education and science and to open new possibilities of cooperation in Higher Education. To this end, the Minister is accompanied by Rectors and representatives of the Cypriot universities.

During his visit to Moscow and St. Petersburg, the Minister will also give presentations at universities and educational fairs on Cyprus’ Higher Education system.

The Minister returns to Cyprus on October 25, 2016.
