Four suspects in court in vice case

Four men are due to appear at Nicosia court on Wednesday in connection with investigations into offences concerning prostitution.

“Four people were arrested and detained yesterday to facilitate investigations concerning conspiracy to commit a felony, conspiracy to commit a misdemeanour, trafficking of people for sexual exploitation, procuring, living off the earnings of prostitution, exploiting prostitutes, sexual exploitation of adults, and laundering money derived from illegal activities.”

The Cyprus Mail understands a raid was carried out on premises from which a prostitute was working in the Pallouriotissa area of the capital. Three men who were parked up in a vehicle nearby who appeared to be coordinating the operation and collecting money, as well as another man were arrested. The woman was not detained.

The Anti-Trafficking Office is continuing investigations.
