Unleashed pit bulls kill Maltese dog

A Maltese dog was killed and another one severely injured after the two were attacked by two pit bull terriers in Paphos on Wednesday evening.

A man was taking his girlfriend’s two little dogs for a walk when two pit bull terriers which were roaming around unleashed attacked and bit them at around 11pm.

The two Maltese dogs were taken to a veterinary clinic in Peyia where one died while the other one was kept in the clinic and treated for severe injuries.

An arrest warrant has been issued against the 30-year-old woman who owns the two pit bulls.
