Cars damaged in fire

Two cars belonging to a couple from Nicosia were damaged by fire on Thursday evening, police said.

The fire was noticed at around 10.25pm while the cars were parked inside the couple’s garage in Ayios Dhometios.

Police said the vehicles belonged to a 75-year-old man and his wife, 69.

The cause of the blaze was being investigated by the authorities.
