Eliza’s journey: how a traumatised shelter dog found a new life

Every pet deserves a loving and respectful home: please only consider acquiring a pet if you will be able to take care of its long-term needs. Also, consider choosing your animal companion from a shelter, where there are so many wonderful furry friends who need a forever home.

In this video, we learn the heartwarming story of Eliza, the rescue dog who made a turnaround from trauma, abuse and injury to becoming a loving companion to Florida native Annie Morgan.

Annie eventually adopted the pooch permanently, after seeing how Eliza was thriving under her care.

“Fostering a dog, especially one like this, isn’t always snuggles and rainbows and happy moments. It’s a lot of patience, it’s a lot of hard times,” confesses Annie. Nevertheless, the love shelter animals have to give “is unending and will make you feel whole like you never have before”.
