Books, fairy tales and story time will be on the agenda at Technopolis 20 this Sunday as the venue organises a Children’s Book Fair for the first time. In a full-day event from 10am to 5pm, children will have the opportunity to meet Cypriot writers, select their favourite books and attend storytelling sessions, book presentations and take part in creative and interactive workshops.

The fair will open with a presentation of the book A Fairy in the Forest by Antonis Katsaros, followed by an interactive storytelling session of Neofyta Polydorou’s book I Love The Clouds. More fun book presentations to entertain children, families and book lovers include Antonis Sergis’ book Pablo. A Canvas of Memories, Pamela Anastasiou Papaiakovou’s The Lion Knows and Olga Constantinou’s The Different Journey of Iakovos, which will also include a short narration by Leonidas Nikolaides.

In between the book presentations, a workshop for parents and children will take place at 12.30pm led by Andri Hairalla based on the book 30+1 Ways to Spend Quality Time With Your Children. The fair’s workshop will be in Greek and parents need to reserve a place for their little one if they want to join.

At 3pm, Eleftherios Ploutarchou will take youngsters on a storytelling journey with creative activities, bringing the Fourteen Days in Ancient Greece: a Diary of Leonidas’ Journey book to life. The day will conclude with more storytelling, music and activities with Loukas Panagi in a day dedicated to merge the worlds of books and children.
