Police in Limassol accused a man of attempting to supply just shy of two grammes of cannabis to a man who was being held in custody on Friday night.

The man, aged 33, was caught while attempting to deliver various food items to the man being held in custody.

During a search of the items he had brought to the police station, police found two nylon packages hidden in the food. A subsequent investigation carried out by the police’s drugs squad found almost two grams of cannabis inside the packages.

The man was interrogated by police before being summonsed to present himself again at the police station to be accused in writing.
