But Cyprus needs to do more to integrate better into the Levant and Europe, Tinis says.

“Cyprus lacks an incentives plan to the technology hub and other international businesses. The long-pending technology park will help a lot to attract more technology companies. And Cyprus needs to do more to promote itself as an aspiring technology hub, Tinis adds.

“Definitely the quality of life and climate comes first on the list and should be promoted along with the welcoming and safe environment, the smooth and easy Immigration policies & support and of course the fact that Cyprus as a Member State of the EU is very helpful because it: ( i) significantly reduces various administrative burdens, and (ii) allows access to various EU tax directives which for example makes it easier to manage the working capital requirements of a company/group.”
