FMs of Cyprus, Greece and UAE hold informal meeting in Dubai

The second informal tripartite meeting of the foreign ministers of Cyprus, Greece and the United Arab Emirates was held on the sidelines of the Sir Bani Yas Forum in Dubai on Sunday.

During the meeting, ministers Nikos Christodoulides, Nikos Dendias of Greece and Abdullah bin Zayed al Nahyan of the UAE reconfirmed their willingness to further increase cooperation.

They also exchanged views on the situation in Syria, and the latest developments in Libya in the light of the Paris conference on Libya where the three countries participated.

EU-UAE relations were also discussed and the role which Cyprus and Greece can play in efforts to make the EU’s involvement in the wider region stronger and more substantial.

They also reviewed progress in the common effort to further strengthen and expand regional cooperation in the wider Middle East and Gulf region on the basis of a positive approach. The ministers further discussed the next steps towards this direction and the possible involvement of other states of the region.
