Woman jailed for theft

A 47-year-old woman was jailed for 20 months in connection with six cases of theft by Famagusta District Court on Wednesday.

According to the police, between March and May 2022, the woman in six different cases, stole the total amount of €4,670 from the work, cars and residence of her employer in Famagusta district.

A complaint was filed on May 9 and she was arrested the day after.

On basis of a search warrant, the woman’s house was searched and various items were found, as well the amount of €500.

The woman was questioned and admitted to the six thefts.
