Central Bank of Cyprus confirms bank holidays for festive period

The Central Bank of Cyprus has revised its economic growth expectations for 2022 from 4 to 2 per cent

The Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) on Thursday released a statement confirming the bank holidays for the upcoming festive season, while urging the public to plan accordingly.

According to the announcement, banks in Cyprus will be closed on Monday, December 25, Christmas Day; Tuesday, December 26, Boxing Day; and Monday, January 1, 2024, New Year’s Day.

“During these dates, all banking institutions across the country will remain closed,” the CBC said.

“The public is advised to take note of these bank holidays and plan their banking activities accordingly to avoid any inconvenience,” it concluded.
