Where do you live?
In Nicosia with my daughter.
Best childhood memory?
Do not know my best but one of my worst was when I had to recite a poem in front of what seemed to me a very big audience, and I forgot the words.
Most frequented restaurant and absolute favourite dish?
My friends accuse me that I would eat anything and like it because I am not very demanding or fussy about food. This is pretty accurate. I am more interested in the conversation that would develop at the restaurant table.
What did you have for breakfast?
I am very hungry in the morning but I never find the time to have anything other than a coffee before going to work, which is why I like weekends
Would you class yourself as a day or night person?
Night-time is more attractive, but in the mornings I have a lot more energy.
Best book ever read?
Almost impossible to single out one but if I had to I would perhaps go for The Metamorphosis by Kafka; a person as an insect, an absolute nothing.
Favourite film of all time?
Again difficult – The Godfather, old Almodovar and old Woody Allen movies, but again I am not too sure
Favourite holiday destination? What’s your dream trip?
New York and Mykonos before people wake up
What music are you listening to in the car at the moment?
What is always in your fridge?
Dream house: rural retreat or urban dwelling? Where would it be, what would it be like?
A loft in Soho, New York; a seaside apartment in Famagusta with windows for walls
If you could pick anyone at all (alive or dead) to go out for the evening with, who would it be?
For tonight I would choose Mustafa Akinci, but tomorrow I don’t know.
If the world is ending in 24 hours what would you do?
Have as much fun as possible. I would have no guilt, qualms or inhibitions and have a perfect time.
What is your greatest fear?
Regretting things I have done
