Why am I not surprised?

Further to my letter last week in the `Sunday Mail’, some readers may be interested to learn that following my endeavour to get Interior Minister Socratis Hasikos to answer letters, I met briefly with him in Paphos on October 30 when he received a slim file of papers; listened carefully to what I had to say; and then firmly promised to respond to two issues, one of which goes back over 13 years.  He guaranteed I would hear from him within one week.  Have I heard anything?  What do you think?  How can we have any confidence in such people?
