A 20-year-old man was remanded for six days on Saturday by the Famagusta district court for the alleged possession of counterfeit money.
He was arrested after he was caught paying with a fake €50 bill at a pub in Ayia Napa on Friday.
An employee at the pub reportedly realised the bill was fake and called the police. In his possession, police reportedly found another fake €50 bill.
A second suspect, also 20, was arrested for the same case, police said.
