Man in critical condition after car crash

A 49-year-old man is in critical condition at the Nicosia general hospital after a road accident in Limassol early on Saturday.

The accident occurred at around 1.10am in Limassol when the 49-year-old’s car collided with another driven by a 19-year-old man at the junction of Mouson and Filellinon streets.

Both vehicles, after the collision, crashed into a metal fence of a nearby plot.

The two drivers were taken to the Limassol general hospital but the 49-year-old, due to the severity of his injuries, was transferred to the one in Nicosia. He suffered serious head injuries. His condition is considered critical.

The 19-year-old, who sustained lighter injuries, was kept in hospital as a precaution.
