Man remanded for 6-days for aiding migrant to enter Cyprus

A 37-year-old was arrested and remanded for six days by the Nicosia district court on Sunday, under suspicion of aiding a migrant enter Cyprus illegally, police said.

According to police, the man was arrested on Saturday, based on a court ordered warrant.

Police said that on April 5, the suspect allegedly help a third country national enter Cyprus illegally for sum of money.

Appearing in Nicosia district court on Sunday, the 37-year-old was remanded for six days.

Police are continuing their investigations.
