Fingers of fire: Grisha Goryachev performs Paco de Lucía’s ‘Almoraima’

In this 2018 video Grigory ‘Grisha’ Goryachev gives a thrilling performance of Paco de Lucía’s ‘Almoraima’ (Bulerías), recorded at the Guitar Salon International showroom in Santa Monica, California.

Russian virtuoso flamenco and classical guitarist Goryachev, preserves the traditions of solo flamenco in his concert performances, and his influences, other than De Lucía, include Sabicas, 1912-90, the Spanish flamenco guitarist of Romani origin.

De Lucía (1947-2014) was a Spanish virtuoso flamenco guitarist, composer and record producer. As a leading proponent of the new flamenco style, he was also one of the first flamenco guitarists to branch into classical and jazz.
