Former Turkish Cypriot leader Eroglu hospitalised

Former Turkish Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu has been admitted in intensive care after feeling ill on Monday while he was at home.

Turkish Cypriot media reported that Eroglu, 83, is in good health and receiving treatment as there is a suspicion of a viral infection.

“All his vital organs are functioning normally,” reports said.

Rasmiyye Cyanaltay, Eroglu’s daughter, posted on Facebook last night that her father was well, and his hospitalisation was precautionary.

Eroglu served as Turkish Cypriot leader from 2010 to 2015.
