A 28-year-old British man suffered a serious injury after an accident with a buggy vehicle on Thursday night in Paphos.

His doctors described his condition as out of danger. Police are still waiting to take his statement when this becomes possible.

According to the Police, his partner, who was the driver of the vehicle, said that the door had opened suddenly while it was moving, and he was thrown out.

The injured person was then transferred by ambulance to a private clinic in Limassol where surgery was carried out to restore his wrist.

Police investigations revealed that the 28-year-old was injured after a car accident with a buggy vehicle, however, at this stage he was unable to provide information about the accident.

This was the third buggy accident reported in Paphos district this month, as on August 8 a 59-year-old man died after the buggy he was in with his daughter, 20, fell off a 150-metre cliff in the Akamas area and then into the sea. His daughter was seriously injured.

Two men aged 21 and 23, were injured in a separate incident in the same month.

Investigations into the circumstances of the accident are ongoing.
