Investigations after €3,870 stolen from betting shop

Limassol police were investigating on Wednesday after over €3,800 were stolen from a betting shop under knife threat.

According to police, around 11.40pm on Tuesday, an unknown man who was wearing a woollen hood entered the establishment at gunpoint.

After he took €870 from the registry, the culprit asked an employee to open the safe, from which he stole €3,000 before he fled the scene on foot.

The culprit is described as muscular, about 1.70 to 1.80 metres tall and was wearing a blue waterproof jacket, dark jeans and gloves.
