Men arrested for nine burglaries and thefts

A 27-year-old man was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of committing nine burglaries and thefts committed in Nicosia, police said on Monday.

The arrest was made after evidence emerged against the suspect during police investigations into the burglaries.

According to the police, the suspect admitted to committing two cases under investigation as well as seven others, in Lakatamia.

The man also showed police an open area in Nicosia, where three motorcycles were found which had been stolen from a pizzeria.

He is expected to be brought before the Nicosia District Court later on Monday.
