Three arrested as 19 migrants arrive

Three people have been arrested for the illegal movement of migrants after the arrivals of 19 in the Famagusta area on Saturday afternoon, police announced on Sunday.

During police questioning, the migrants named three people, aged 42, 42 and 35, who had helped the third country nationals enter the Republic illegally.

The three were detained after arrest warrants were issued against them, while the remaining migrants were transferred to the Pournara reception centre in Kokkinotrimithia.
