Today’s weather: Warm, isolated showers likely

Tuesday morning will see increasing cloud cover, likely to bring isolated showers, mainly in the north, while in the afternoon isolated showers or a storm are expected, mainly in the mountains and inland. Winds will initially be south-easterly to south-westerly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, gradually turning south-westerly to north-westerly, light to moderate up to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough.

Temperatures will rise to 32C in the interior, 29C on the coasts and 23C in the higher mountains.

On Tuesday night temporarily increased clouds are expected to bring isolated showers mainly on the north coast. Winds will initially be south-westerly to north-westerly, later turning north-westerly to north-easterly, weak, up to 3 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to a slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to 20C in the interior, 21C on the coast and 13C in the higher mountains.

On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the weather will initially be mostly clear, although in coastal areas there will be temporarily increased cloud cover. Clouds are expected to bring isolated rains or storms, mainly in the mountains or semi-mountainous areas as well as north and east of Troodos.

Temperatures are not expected to change significantly until Thursday, while a drop is expected on Friday, with the temperature remaining close average for the season.
