Police fine 41 individuals and eight businesses for Covid breaches

Police said on Sunday that in the preceding 24hours they had carried out 6,105 checks islandwide looking for Covid violators.

Most of the violations concerned not wearing a mask or being without a SafePass.

Businesses were fined for allowing people to sit at a table without the necessary permission, or they allowed customers to dance.

The fines ranged from €500 to €16,000.
