In keeping with its longstanding efforts to give back to the community, the Anglo Cypriot Theatre (ACT) group made a donation recently in support of the Cans For Kids charity.

ACT president Graham Thomas presented Cans For Kids founder and president Rosie Charalambous with a cheque for €500 – a portion from the ticket sales of the theatre group’s recent, successful Christmas pantomime, ‘The Three Musketeers’.

ACT is the oldest of the amateur dramatic groups in the Republic of Cyprus, and this year celebrates its 40th birthday. Over the years, it has donated thousands of euros (and Cypriot pounds!) to various local charities.

Cans For Kids was formed in 1991 and now undertakes its recycling operations throughout the island. It has so far donated over a quarter of a million euros-worth of medical equipment to government hospitals, helping to improve the care offered to children all over Cyprus.
