PITOT, or “pitas” in English, is an Israeli restaurant founded by Moran Iter and Asaf Gonen.

Having opened in June 2020, the restaurant was born out of the deep longing the business partners shared for the beloved recipes of their childhoods.

Affectionately known as “Mori”, Moran Iter is PITOT’s chef, co-owner and momtrepreneur, and her passion for her work is evident.

“I have been feeding people my whole life. But opening my own restaurant has been my dream since I was a little girl, watching my mom concoct delicious recipes that filled our kitchen with warmth and joy,” says Mori.

“As soon as I touched down in Cyprus in 2012, I knew I had to bring my favourite Israeli flavours to this great island. That’s why I based PITOT’s unique dishes around Israeli cuisine classics like falafel and hummus, with an added twist of eclectic aromas, varied textures and, most importantly, soul.

“Passion is my secret ingredient,” she adds. “Every time I see a happy face heartily enjoying my sabich, it’s a dream come true.”

PITOT is located in the heart of Limassol, only a few minutes’ walk from Anexartisias Street and Ygia Polyclinic.
