Key issues and challenges facing Russian companies based on the island, as well as those wishing to expand operations to Cyprus, were the main focus of the “Cyprus, Russia & Beyond” conference, held by PwC Cyprus on November 24. Over 100 senior executives of Russian companies attended the Limassol event.

During the conference, PwC professionals analysed a wide range of issues concerning companies today, including tax updates, technological advancements and cybersecurity, ESG (Environment, Society, Governance), as well as inclusion and diversity.

Additional presentations relayed how PwC supports clients via the organisation’s advisory services, with a view to addressing succession planning effectively. PwC professionals also detailed the organisation’s investment services, in recognition of the growing need for high-quality services in this field.

PwC Cyprus CEO and President of the Cyprus-Russian Business Association, Evgenios Evgeniou, and PwC Partner and Head of International Private Clients, Nicos Chimarides, also addressed attendees.

“Following a turbulent period, Cyprus-Russia business relations have entered a new, dynamic era,” said Chimarides, highlighting Russian businesses’ contributions to, and investments in, the Cyprus economy.

“As an organisation, we are here to support companies to successfully move forward and face the future, thereby helping strengthen our economy.”
